Variya is actually my middle name (spelled Varia). My Dad made it up. Before the internet I would have lived my life out in the bliss of thinking my name is completely distinct and unique (which was not blissful as a kid when I only wanted to blend in!) In the information age however, I find that there are numerous versions of my name around the world, from a Dutch social development company to an Engineering company in India. Then I found this video (not the same pronunciation) and it makes the fact that I have to share my namesake a little more okay. Enjoy.
